Abeer Abu Rub in tears after learning her brother was not on the bus carrying released prisoners in the last exchange after the ceasefire in Gaza. The night before, security forces had told her family he would be freed, and warned them not to celebrate. Their mother came in a wheelchair to greet a son who never arrived, sent instead to Gaza, and then beyond.
A relative called it “psychological terror…playing with our emotions, and those of the prisoners.”
