16 years ago, our Ithumba team found a young calf incarcerated in a drying dam. She was completely bogged in the mud and could have easily gone undiscovered. Today, that same elephant is living wild and a mother of two beautiful daughters. Ithumbah, as we named her, grew up in our care before reclaiming her place among Tsavo’s elephants. She gave birth to her first baby, Iman, in 2022. Iris followed last November. Although they are leading entirely wild lives, Ithumbah and her girls are regular visitors around Ithumba — these photos were taken just a few days ago. It’s such a privilege to be part of these elephants’ stories, from one rescued orphan to a whole family. — The fact that most of our ex-orphans continue to visit us, long after they have embraced their independence, shows just how powerful family bonds are in elephant society. Thank you for being part of that family. Your support makes these stories possible. Because of you, we are able to not only rescue orphans, but also commit upwards of a decade to their day-and-night care, until they are ready to return to the wild. 🚨A Louisiana man who shared pro-Trump memes is now accused of the very thing MAGA swears it’s protecting kids from. Joshua D. Welch, 44, of Anacoco, was arrested Oct. 8 and charged with three counts of first-degree r*pe of a victim under 13, plus three counts of aggravated crimes against nature. Welch posted “GOD, GUNS AND TRUMP” on Facebook, signaling how much he is influenced by his faith and MAGA politics. He also expressed excitement over Trump promising $5,000 DOGE checks to every American in 2025. Those checks never came. No bond has been set, and he remains in the Vernon Parish jail.
Some fragrances don’t just leave a scent, they leave a feeling♥️. La Bomba by @carolinaherrera is bold, feminine, and beautifully unforgettable. With its gorgeous butterfly-shaped bottle, it’s just as stunning to look at as it is to wear. A little floral, a little sensual, and full of that irresistible energy. 🌺✨ A fragrance that truly feels as beautiful as it looks. ❤️ #labombacarolinaherrera #beloudbefree #labombafragrance #deekilasherpa #ad
