HOMETOWN JOURNAL

A new episode is here. From our recent south west Europe tour — an emotional and honest film about the French artist Manon Blet. By breaking away from the limited image she once held of herself—of her own femininity—she reveals that self-transcendence doesn’t just happen through words and thought. It spills onto the canvas. Manon’s paintings speak on their own terms, or through the computer-generated voice that became our guide during filming, since we didn’t speak French and Manon wasn’t fully at ease in English.

We believe this film holds something meaningful for anyone who has ever questioned their own vision of who they are. Manon leaves us with a feeling of empowerment, and we’re excited to share her work with you.

A selection of Manon’s pieces is now available online, and you’ll find the link to the film in our bio.
