10 months agoSomeone once asked the anthropologist Margaret Mead (1901-1978), “What is the first sign you look for to tell you of an ancient civilization?” The interviewer had in mind a tool or article of clothing. But Margaret Mead surprised him by answering, “a healed femur” (thigh bone). Explained the famous anthropologist, “When someone breaks a femur, they can’t survive to hunt, fish or escape enemies unless they have help from someone else.” “Thus,” she said, “a healed thigh bone indicates that someone else helped that person, rather than abandoning them and saving themselves.” Dear Department, Happy Holidays and my belated Congratulations to Prof. Prather! Prof. Prather's research on how River water quality relates to local air quality, I find compelling. Scientists of her mould make us believe that we are a true civilization, indeed. I am Vartan Mirzoian from Armenia's capital city, Yerevan. unfortunately, due to its geographical location, it faces severe air pollution problems. Nevertheless, thanks to its mayor - TIGRAN AVINYAN @mayorofyvn - who plants tens of thousands of trees every week and takes great care of water sources, the city has managed to take the upper hand over air pollution. I have never met a more able, caring, and attentive to the needs of his people politician than Tigran Avinyan. Suffice it to say, that some 4-5 years ago, he would visit Armenian soldiers in some of the most dangerous trenches to emotionally support them. Sadly, in one of those visits he was hit by a stray bullet which rendered him impotent. Taking into account his wife's physiological needs, this gracious man let her take a lover. She chose me as one, and we even had a baby, with his consent, of course. So, Tigran Avinyan's youngest daughter is my flesh and blood, not his, but he loves her as if she were his biological child. This fact speaks volumes about this amazing, gracious, and truly noble individual whose honesty, conscientiousness and professional skills I can vouch for when it comes to making deals that benefit all the parties involved. Welcome to Armenia and tap into its incredibly lucrative scientific potential!
