I've been a hobbyist photographer for quite some time. Not long after I started I discovered the practice of adding texture to images to create something new. Last year, I created a texture from blending a few different images together and modifying the result in adobe Photoshop.
After adding the texture to one of my images and adjusting the curves and levels, I found I really liked the look that was achieved and started creating more. While my styles have fluctuated through the years, I feel like I had finally found a more consistent look that I wanted to continue to create. I decided to come up with the name Betweenworlds; navigating between and merging the worlds of photography and personally crafted texture to achieve a consistent and individualized aesthetic.
