Life has a beautiful way of unfolding, sometimes taking us down paths we never imagined, only to bring us exactly where we’re meant to be. And sometimes, the most beautiful full-circle moments remind us that it was all part of the journey. ✨ A wonderful evening surrounded by inspiring women. I didn’t intend to fully showcase my bump. It proved to be a challenge to find a dress of a specific color at 7.5 months pregnant with a week’s notice, if you can believe that. 😅 So we worked around it, literally. 💚
Is this me ??? 😁... 1975 Bombay, Carmichael road, mums terrace and my favourite shirt !! ♥️♥️☺️⚡️
A FIRST LOOK AT THE GATHER EDIT 🤍 The Leo you’ve been waiting for is FINALLY here! Meet the Ruched Leo, coming in 4 stunning colors this Wednesday, 10.21. ✨ Consider this your sign to set those alarms… you won’t want to miss this one 👀
Happy 7 years to @do.what_moves.you 🤍✨ Couldn’t help but create a flashback edit of this journey! 🥹 . . I grew up learning Bharatanatyam from the age of four and for the longest time, that was the only kind of dance form I knew. Even when I danced to western or folk at work events, I was always told I had a “classical touch.” My movements were rigid, my energy was low, I lacked flow and honestly I was hesitant and far from confident. Then came October 17th 2019, the day I decided to document my dance journey here on Instagram, not knowing where it would take me. I just knew I wanted to get better. And I kept going. ❤️ Through learning from youtube videos, online classes during the pandemic, countless hours of practice, experimenting with different styles, creating my own choreographies, attending dance workshops, pushing my boundaries and showing up even when progress felt slow. Somewhere along the way, I found more than just better movement. I found freedom, expression and a confidence I didn’t have when I started. And this is exactly what @do.what_moves.you has always meant to me. To follow what moves you, keep showing up for it and let it transform you in ways you never imagined. 7 years in. Still learning. Still growing. Still moving. And I am nowhere near done. 🥹❤️🧿 I’m thankful to all my teachers and grateful for all my cheerleaders. 🫂✨ [ Dance, Journey, Growth, Self-reflection, Training, FYP, Explore, Transformation, Expressing, Before after, Instagram journey, Dance Workshop, Trending, Love for Dance, Consistency, Inspiration, Confidence ] #dance #reels #fyp #explorepage #growth
This one's for Shane: When I workout in clothing that works for me, I do not consent to being leered at by creepers in the gym. However, I DO consent to being sexualised in very specific contexts, which I get to dictate (big clue in this pic which context that is). But men like Shane are the exact same men that also slam women for making money that way. Seems like what they don't like is women having the choice of what to wear, and about who gets to sexualise them and when. THEY want to choose when women are sexualised. A radical idea: People minding their business in the gym working out aren't actually there for your consumption. They're just living their lives and - withhold your disbelief for a moment - don't actually give a fuck what you think about their outfit. Also your use of the word *whore* and the distaste with which you say it is very interesting, considering that the women you're leering at are not getting paid for or consenting to that sexualisation...
