Last night was an epic moment.
Every 1st and 3rd week, Jimmie and I open our home to our young adults…a space for fellowship, worship, and leaning in closer to Jesus. Last night was our annual Friendsgiving, and our core group invited their friends from the SEU “House Group”… and let me tell you, they SHOWED UP.
A glimpse of what I’ve been praying to see was right before my eyes, 30+ souls in one room, no agenda… just love, fellowship, community, and the one thing we seek: to dwell.
23 years ago, that was me. A young adult trying to figure out life. I’m forever grateful for every leader God placed in my path to guide me. I always knew that one day I wanted to give someone else the same opportunity that was given to me. My heart beats for this generation, and giving them Jesus is the greatest gift I could ever offer.
I understand the weight of this responsibility, lives are being shaped in real time, hearts are being formed in these moments, and my obedience matters. Souls are in the room, watching, learning, growing, and searching for the Jesus they see in me. And I feel the weight of knowing that my life becomes part of their story.
The way I speak, love, lead, and even pause leaves an imprint on them. So my prayer is this: that while they are here, every word, every action, and every decision reflects Jesus and brings glory to the One who entrusted me with this sacred assignment.
There is a generation whose hearts are burning for the One who fills them with what lasts forever…
