Ant-Man (2015) is a superhero heist film from Marvel Studios, chronicling the origin story of Scott Lang as the second Ant-Man under the mentorship of the original, Hank Pym. The film is celebrated for its humor, engaging performances, and unique special effects that bring the shrinking concept to life.
Summary
The film follows Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a charming master thief recently released from prison, who is recruited by scientist Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). Pym needs Lang to don a technologically advanced suit that allows its user to shrink to a minuscule size while increasing in strength, and even control an army of ants.
Lang is trained by Pym and his daughter, Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), for a heist to stop Pym's former protégé, Darren Cross (Corey Stoll), who is close to perfecting a similar, weaponized shrinking technology called the Yellowjacket suit. Lang must embrace his inner hero and use his new abilities to save the world from this dangerous innovation.
