Prayer is a conversation that involves equal amounts of speaking & hearing. When you are with a friend, you should not be doing all the speaking but also to listen to what your friend is speaking.
We cannot expect God to do all the listening. God speaks to those who will take Him seriously and stand ready to hear his voice💕 hearing requires our faith..
we live in a time with many distractions, voices and noises of this world. His voice will prevail when we choose to listen & respond. •••1 kings 19:12••
Elijah the prophet was still able to hear Gods still small voice. Yet amid strong winds, mountains shaking and breaking into pieces, an earthquake, and even a fire, he still heard Gods still small voice🙏
Listening to Gods voice requires us to spend time in prayer and learning his voice. Spending time with him in his word. Prayer draws us closer to Him. The more you talk with your friend-the stronger your relationship will be & able to discern his voice.
God is rarely silent. Gods voice is actually pretty loud once we block out all the noise of the world. “Don’t say that God has been silent when the Bible is closed”.
God speaks to us in many different ways.
••A prayer tip that I just got into.. was to bring a prayer journal with you everywhere you go. Through out the day, think and meditate on God & his word. Then listen to what God speaks & Write down those words as a reminder to always look back on🩷🙏 It’s very encouraging and how God will give us a word for each day. writing down Bible verses too.
In a world that is fast paced and noisy, we have to quiet our minds & silence our words -tho it might feel little awkward waiting on him to speak😃

When God speaks to us, it wont always be for the world to know & hear about it.. but God also speaks to us personally-to only you to keep.
The more you listen, the more you hear God speaking.
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”🩷❤️📓
