I’ve been dealing with something behind the scenes for the past couple weeks. one of my existing moles that I’ve always had started changing colors, so I went to the derm to get it removed. I didn’t think anything of it. 10 days goes by and they call me to say it’s melanoma. after going back in to get more skin removed, tests showed that the cancer cells were deep enough to where I needed to get an extra 6 inches of skin removed as well as my lymph node to see if it had spread anywhere else in my body. they expedited me & got me into surgery less than one week from finding out how deep it was. it all happened so fast and I could barely even process what was happening. I went into surgery on Tuesday and I was the youngest melanoma patient by 50 years. I’m sitting there thinking why did this happen to me at such a young age? how could this be? why why why. by God’s grace, I just received a phone call from the doctor saying my lymph node came back negative and I’m clear of cancer. praise Jesus. I am so beyond thankful for every single person that has prayed for me the past couple days. I felt so confused, terrified and weak to pray on my own in some moments. those thoughts and prayers from others carried me through. after the first 3 days of hearing the “C” word, I was so anxious and couldn’t sleep, but after that, I had a wave of peace wash over me that helped me sleep through the night. thank you Jesus for healing me. ❤️‍🩹 “My thoughts are higher than your thoughts, my ways are higher than your ways.” Isaiah 55:8-9 I won’t be able to workout for a little while. just hot girl walks, rest and immense gratitude for the foreseeable future 🙏🏻
