LOYALTY has developed a small administrative problem.

The famous relationship question finally gets a sequel, and somehow everybody involved has a reasonable explanation. You were gone. A worm arrived. Your partner remembered the promise.
⠀
Now you are standing in the doorway trying to explain that the hypothetical was not a household emergency protocol. Meanwhile, the worm has had weeks to establish a routine. It has a side of the bed. It may have met the family.
⠀
The worst part is you cannot even say they failed the test. They passed it with such commitment that you now need to ask a worm to pack.

I got married to my best friend four years ago today, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him. ❤️‍🩹 I know I say this every year, but I am still so honored and touched by how much work our friends and family put into helping us make this wedding a reality in just one week, all while Rob began home hospice. I’m forever indebted to you guys. People throw around the word “community” so much in these days, and in such trite and handwringing contexts. But this really felt like the true definition of the word. Thank you for helping us make an awful situation a little lighter, even if it was just for one day.

I train to feel good. I work to build something I believe in.
You know my hands. Less about what they carry.
A father. A lover. An entrepreneur. A friend. A son. A brother.
And through it all… a man.
A man who sometimes doubts himself. Who doesn’t always have the words…
Still hungry. Still growing. Still loving life.
So many roles. One heart.
Mine.

SOROTAN
