Do you know there was a time when Singapore looked up to Kolkata - the cultural capital, the economic hub, the city with trams, thinkers and global importance.
Calcutta was the blueprint. Singapore was the student.

Fast forward to today… and somehow we don’t have even one world-class city to compare back to them.

From being the model to losing the map - that’s our entire plot twist.

Kolkata is our pride, yet it feels as though people from outside the state are tarnishing our reputation. Currently, certain political figures are attempting to spoil everything we’ve built. The Bengali people have always been known for their educated mindset and strong sense of unity, but today, that feels destroyed by 'dirty politics.' Although Bengal was once a land of plenty, it has been looted by the ruling party, and there is a deep fear that if the BJP takes over, the state's unique identity will be lost entirely..
