Six weeks of you, River. I keep waiting to feel like I’ve caught my breath. And then she does something small a yawn, the way she finds my finger in the dark and I realise I’m not out of breath. I’m just full. Full of her. Full of Phoenix. Full of every single person who got us here. It isn’t all soft. It’s loud and I’m tired and I cried over a lost muslin. But I wouldn’t swap a second. Why does the newborn stage go so quick? Send this to someone in the fog of newborn days. Or someone who waited a very long time for their person to arrive. #rainbowbaby #sixweeks #newbornlife #babyloss #stopwaitingstartliving

I am about to take myself out of my comfort zone again. For the last few years, life has become a little too predictable. Time to shake things up a little But it isn’t easy. As we get older, it becomes more and more challenging. Home becomes dependably safe. I love being with my family and my animals Strangely as I age, I find myself caught in a loop of routine and familiarity. It’s comforting in a world of chaos But I love the thrill of the unknown The excitement of a new place and a new challenge. Remember, don’t be a sheep, be the shepherd.
