Black Soil is excited to partner with Mercury Magazine to highlight the experiences of Black women in environmental science and the workforce. I reached out about this article because I wanted to share the stories of women like me, women navigating a field where we make up less than 3%, and where the journey can be complicated. Many environmental organizations welcome us as interns but rarely as employees, especially now that companies are no longer required to follow DEI policies. Still, our voices and our impact matter. Stay tuned for more details on the upcoming article.
