what stands out most is how confidently the movie commits to its strangeness. it doesn’t try to explain every odd moment or soften its edges. instead, it embraces the awkwardness and absurdity of two people trying to hold their relationship together while everything emotionally and physically, is changing faster than they can process. the body horror elements are inventive but not gratuitous, amplifying the deeper theme of losing yourself for the sake of staying connected.
