🧽I’m gonna get some sea sponges to replace the makeup sponges, since I feel like they’re more absorbent. My Winsor & Newton Cotman Field set has a sea sponge stuffed next to the palette, and I like how quickly it dries compared to the makeup sponges.
I just make sure to air out any wet sponges in my to-go palette when I get home, to prevent any bacteria growth in the moisture.
Surprisingly, the Scotch double sided tape is holding up, even with all the water usage in the palette! Those sponges and acrylic paper are STICKINGGG.
Side note: I like my Derwent water brush more than my other water brushes at the moment. It feels like the water control is the best - the other brushes seem to have a bit of water flow as I’m painting, which I don’t prefer. I’m using the Niji water brush in this video. I’ve heard that Pentel makes great water brushes, which I have yet to try!

Hii I love your art so much!!! I was curious as I want to try painting with with a water brush which paint set should I get that is good but not too big?

Does the gouache not dry out? Or can you just re-wet it like watercolors?

Love it! I have also small palet for painting outside. But this one you made looks awesome with the gouache inside.

I have had a few chocolate tins just like these in my cupboard for over 15 years! Waiting for the perfect project I can reuse them! Well this was totally worth the wait 😂
