Artists on Couches — An Exploration of Creative Consciousness

Why do you create art?

“Simply because I love creating!

There’s nothing more exciting than watching an idea take shape — from a thought, to a sketch, to a living story on canvas.

Art gives me freedom, purpose, and joy.

It’s how I express what words sometimes can’t.

I create because it brings people together and starts conversations that matter — about beauty, identity, healing, and truth.

Every piece I make is a way of saying, ‘Let’s talk about this. Let’s feel something.’

Creating keeps my spirit alive, and sharing it reminds me how powerful art can be in connecting us all.” — Samuella Graham, Accra, Ghana @samo.space
