Yesterday wasn’t just a cinema visit. It was a cultural wake-up call.

Watching Fela: Afrobeat Rebellion reminded me why Fela Aníkúlápó Kuti will forever be more than a musician. He was a movement. A disruptor. A man who chose truth over comfort and paid the price loudly, unapologetically.

Fela didn’t make music to trend , he made music to challenge power, expose injustice, and force society to look itself in the mirror. His sound carried courage. His lyrics carried resistance. His life proved that art can be a weapon when used with conviction.

Sitting in that cinema, you could feel it 😞the weight of history, the fire of rebellion, the reminder that Africa has always had voices bold enough to shake the system. Long before hashtags and online activism, Fela stood firm, alone if necessary, and spoke for the people.

Legacy like this doesn’t fade. It educates. It provokes. It inspires the next generation to be fearless.

Fela lives on ✨in sound, in spirit, and in every person who dares to speak truth without apology.
