There’s so much Kona spam to come so let’s not milk this recap; 🏊‍♀️ horrendous swim 0/10. Lost my goggles right before the start and made a new friend, Jess, who kindly gave me her spare! Forgot my pre-swim and some bike nutrition in my white bag so was also running around with an army of volunteers who were all amazing and found it for me. The actual swim was so swelly. I knew it was going to be a slow day and I’m proud of the time I did considering. Was not a fan of getting pushed by a yellow cap man from wave after. The whole swim was a mental and physical battle that I eventually overcame because I didn’t come this far to falter at the first hurdle. 🚴‍♀️ Anyone that says the bike course is boring is lying though. Some of the most stunning scenes in sections and I had so much fun on the rolling hills and was anticipating a 5 hour split until the headwind took that dream away💀 I listened to coach and kept my HR steady to save some for the run. Still buzzing with 71st female bike including the pros 🥹 🏃🏼‍♀️ Hot and humid. Best words to describe it. I was managing okay in the first 10km and the vibes in Kona/up Palani were impeccable👌🏼 But then turning left onto the Queen K is where it got hard. The sun came out and was just scorching the left side of my face for miles. I didn’t find the energy lab much hotter than the test of the course. Every aid stations I was slamming the ice and coke. Again, kept my pace and heart rate controlled and had a strong finish. A really tough but rewarding day out. I can put Kona behind me for now and focus on what’s next because we aren’t done yet 👀
“Presumption has no place when it comes to children’s safety and children’s lives.” — Claire Throssell MBE Tomorrow, the House of Commons votes on the Courts and Tribunals Bill. Clause 17 repeals the presumption of parental involvement — the only legal presumption about what counts as a child’s best interests. Removing it puts children’s welfare first. Clause 17 is also known as Jack and Paul’s Law, in memory of Claire Throssell MBE’s sons, murdered by their father on a court-ordered contact visit. Since the presumption came in, survivors have been forced to maintain contact with their abuser, and Women’s Aid reports 19 more children killed by an abusive parent through unsafe contact. Now Nick Timothy MP and Dr Kieran Mullan MP, the Shadow Justice Minister, have tabled an amendment to “leave out Clause 17” — blocking the repeal. Children’s safety must come before presumption. We urge MPs to protect Clause 17. • • • 👉 Stay part of the change at [ https://righttoequality.org ] Sign up to our newsletter to receive updates on family justice reform, policy developments, upcoming events, and how you can continue to support survivors, protective parents, and children. • • • #Clause17 #JackAndPaulsLaw #FamilyCourts #ParentalInvolvement #ProtectChildren

Becky G brings the hits, Emiliano Vargas brings the punches, and I’m just trying to hit my mark… Having fun on set with my girl Gina Rodriguez calling the shots!
