That’s a wrap.🎁 Midnight approaches and my big New Year’s Eve celebration has been looking back at all the books I read this year (good times!😅). I love reading, but always struggled even finishing my monthly book group book in the past. But this year, I made a conscious effort to prioritise reading over doom scrolling, and felt better for it—and read more (adult) books than I have since uni. Watching this, it was an eclectic stack and favourites included both this year’s top sellers and classics. The one that keeps rising to the top of mind is The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong, but there were many faves like The Book of Guilt, The Names, There Are Rivers in the Sky, Plumb, Giovanni’s Room and Raising Hare. A surprise delight was the H G Wells, but I am a bit of a space nerd. Did we share any reads this year?
My To Be Read pile never seems to diminish, so bring on 2026! Happy New Year, Happy Reading!🎉🥂📚
