You all know how I love recreating Sridevi Ji’s iconic looks and expressions in everything I do. I’ve recreated so many of her looks, but the iconic Chandni look was still on my wishlist. & now, with @rajchoco @svfsocial & @sonyaathofficial by my side, that dream has finally come true!

Oh! The NRIs are fighting! Y’all know how I feel about influ culture and NRIs. And an entitled influ NRI? Too good not to discuss.

In today’s court session of petty influ cases, we have Natasha Thasan Vs The entire history of sari draping. Like a fight-or-flight response, Bratty Natty has gone up and put an emphatic video up claiming her “essence” was stolen by the team of ‘Best of the Best’ and styled Maitreyi in a draped blouse design that apparently belongs to her. She starts by saying she really didn’t want to talk about this, and then goes on ranting about how she was not credited for the design. The video has all the classic ingredients—entitlement, invisible tears, screenshot-worthy facial expressions and a lot of misinformation.

For starters, I was not aware that sari drapes were now intellectual properties and people were copyrighting them. Second, she has unwittingly (because wit is out of the equation) tried to erase a whole rich, centuries-old history of Indian draping and saris. Are we now claiming every and any thing as ours?

Maitreyi has arrived in the comments with her side and said Natty knew everything all along and now has unfollowed her (bechari). Also X/Twitter is doing what they do best— troll the fuck out of the situation. Enjoyed.
