Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi’s attempt to remove Councilmember Jason Lee from every City Council committee and board assignment fell short Tuesday after residents publicly challenged the proposal and fellow councilmembers declined to adopt it in full.

The October 13 meeting became another flashpoint in Stockton’s ongoing political conflicts, with critics questioning why a mayor would propose eliminating an elected district representative’s entire committee portfolio.

Lee represents District 6, which includes South Stockton and Weston Ranch — communities that have long advocated for greater investment, public safety resources, and a stronger voice in municipal decisions.

They do know how to party 🙂‍↕️🖤

Two simple ingredients you can add to your routine:

Kesar and black raisins! ✨🖤 These everyday ingredients contain beneficial nutrients and plant compounds that can complement a balanced diet. Here are four things they offer:

✨ 1. Antioxidant support: Kesar and black raisins contain compounds with antioxidant properties that help protect cells from oxidative stress.

🩸 2. Supports iron intake: Black raisins provide some iron, although they are not a substitute for appropriate treatment if you have an iron deficiency.

🌸 3. Plant compounds for overall health: Kesar contains compounds such as crocin that have been studied for their potential health benefits.

🍇 4. Natural sweetness and fibre: Black raisins can help satisfy sweet cravings while providing some fibre and other nutrients.

How to consume them:
Take 5–7 black raisins and soak them in water overnight.
In the morning, add 2–3 strands of kesar to a little warm water or milk.

Enjoy the soaked raisins and kesar-infused drink as part of your daily routine.

So this is 60.

I’ve lived a life that would sound made up if there weren’t so many witnesses. There have been wild adventures, questionable decisions, a few reinventions, and stories best told after the second bottle.

From PR and advertising to roasting coffee, opening a speakeasy, and writing a novel, I apparently confused “slowing down” with “opening something else.”

It hasn’t all been easy, and I haven’t gotten everything right. But I’ve taken chances, laughed my ass off, and built a life I couldn’t possibly have planned.

And then there’s my wife, Kira. Of all the unexpected turns, ending up with you is the one I’m most grateful for. You’re my best friend, my partner in this beautiful insanity, and somehow both the voice of reason and my biggest enabler. We’ve built businesses, chased crazy ideas, traveled, and laughed our way through a life neither of us could have predicted. I love your heart, your brilliant mind, your wicked sense of humor, and that we genuinely love being together—even after spending all day together. The adventures make great stories, but it’s the everyday life with you that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Sixty looks a hell of a lot better with you beside me.

And to my son and daughter: being your dad will always be one of the greatest privileges of my life. I love you both, I’m proud of the people you’ve become, and no matter how old any of us get, I’ll always be in your corner.

Now I get to celebrate with over 200 people from every chapter of my life. Childhood friends, college friends, newer friends, and friends flying in from around the country will all be together in one room. You know very different versions of me, and between you, you probably know far too much.

All kidding aside, that’s genuinely humbling. Taking time out of your lives, getting on planes, and showing up for me means more than I can put into a birthday post. I don’t take any of it for granted.

Thank you for being part of this crazy life—and for encouraging behavior we should probably all know better than to encourage.

Pour the good stuff. We’re nowhere near finished. 🥂
