Same time 🕔, same place, different season, different practice! The reason why yoga isn’t boring… every practice is unique. Forward folds in autumn 🍁 and heartopeners in springtime 🌱. After 16 years of almost daily practice, yoga is really a way of living for me instead of a “hobby” or a “workout”… Yoga is not only about doing yogaposes, even though mainly the poses are shown on social media and taught in yoga classes. The practice of asana (posture) is only one part of Hatha Yoga, aside to pranayama (breathing practice), mudra (seal), bandha (lock), shatkarma (cleansing practice). One could see Hatha yoga as a physical and mental preparation for higher yoga, Raja Yoga, that leads up to concentration and meditation to finally see oneself in one’s true nature. Aside from the Hatha-Raja yoga pathway, there are other paths to reach enlightenment… through Bhakti yoga (devotion) Jnana yoga (knowledge) and Karma yoga (action). According to your personality you’ll find the path. #yogalife #asanapractice #homeyoga #inversionpractice
Perekonomian Indonesia menunjukkan perkembangan positif. #BadanKomunikasiPemerintah
My Best Friend, My Brother. — These are just some of many pictures over the years. Celebrating a rare soul, a lifelong friendship, and his musical legacy that changed the world. I met Juan Atkins in 1982. Every time we ran into one another, he would ask me if I worked at a grocery store, beyond convinced he’d seen me there. To which I would always tell him, no man, everybody just look like me. That went on for about a year, until he finally stopped asking me and became curious about who I actually was. Looking back, it’s funny how something so simple led to one of the most meaningful friendships of my life. Our friendship was about so much more than just making music. He would come pick me up, just to hang out. Whether that was to go to parties or to simply play our music at Belle Isle. We traveled to New York and Miami for music conferences. We laughed together. We even cut each other’s hair. As time went on, I got to know the people closest to him. His grandmother, whom he idolized, his brothers, his sister, and his mother. They became like family to me, and my family became his. We were in our early 20s, navigating a new frontier with no blueprint. Those were some of the best times of my life: yes, we were having fun, but the friendship we were building was invaluable. I knew our friendship had reached another level when Juan started sharing his music with me and asking for my opinion. I felt honored. He trusted my ears, and I trusted his. We grew even closer, impassioned by our mutual love for music, learning, and creating. Eventually, it became simple: if you saw Juan, you saw Eddie. If you saw Eddie, you saw Juan. In 1985, he helped me put together my first studio, teaching me how to create my own music, how to manipulate sound through synthesizers and MIDIs. And by 1986, he released my first record, “Goodbye Kiss,” under his label, Metroplex. The international media may know the records and the parties, but they don’t know the everyday moments that made us brothers. And I like it that way. Some things belong only to the people who lived them. He wasn’t just my friend. He was my brother. And I am my brother’s keeper. Rest in Power, Juan 🖤
