“It’s done bro!”

Since the beginning of October, people across India have taken to the streets to demand fair elections. And despite police crackdowns, the movement continues to grow, with protesters now outnumbering security forces.

The protests are led by the student movement mockingly named the Cockroach party – after a government minister called unemployed young people cockroaches. And they’ve continued to express that same sense of humor in their chants and protest signs. Here are some of them.

The protests are led by the student movement mockingly named the Cockroach party – after a government minister called unemployed young people cockroaches. And they’ve continued to express that same sense of humor in their chants and protest signs. Here are some of them.

Protesters are demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Kumar’s office is responsible for revisions that purged 130 million names from the voter rolls.

The Cockroach party planned large-scale protests for October 10. A day before the demonstrations, New Delhi police announced they had denied permission for the protest, blaming late requests from organizers.

When protesters followed through with the demonstration, they faced extensive and violent police crackdowns. Reports say over 30,000 police and paramilitary forces were deployed in the city.

Премьер-министр РК Олжас Бектенов считает, что налоговая реформа уже способствует росту доходов бюджета и положительно влияет на экономическую ситуацию.

В проекте республиканского бюджета доходы на 2027 год запланированы на уровне 19,9 трлн тенге, а к концу трёхлетнего периода должны вырасти до 23,4 трлн тенге.

По оценке Правительства, дополнительные 3,5 трлн тенге — вполне достижимый показатель. Основные источники роста — развитие экономики, расширение налогооблагаемой базы и усиление налогового администрирования.

При этом Олжас Бектенов подчеркнул, что прогноз достаточно сдержанный и доходы бюджета могут вырасти ещё больше.

Правительство делает ставку на результаты налоговой реформы. Но насколько эти результаты будут ощутимы для самого бизнеса — вопрос, который остаётся открытым.
