In April 2025, a shocking case emerged from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where Ravita Kashyap and her boyfriend Amardeep were accused of mrdering Ravita’s husband, Amit Kashyap. According to the prosecution, the duo strangled him and placed a live snake near his body to make his deth appear to be caused by a snakebite. However, the post-mortem revealed strangulation as the cause of de*th, exposing the alleged attempt to cover up the crime.
On October 16, 2026, a Meerut court sentenced Ravita and Amardeep to deth after finding them guilty. The verdict came just two days after another Meerut court handed down deth sentences in the separate Blue Drum m*rder case involving Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla. Both rulings have attracted attention for their severity, although the sentences still require High Court confirmation and remain subject to appeal.
