The key to living longer is eating more salt.

You likely have low blood pressure, as many people do, which can cause a wide range of uncomfortable symptoms. Increasing your sodium intake will help. When sodium levels are as low as the FDA currently recommends, the enzyme renin increases in your body, which may raise your risk of a heart attack.

Low sodium can seem like a good thing, but you may actually be depriving your body of an essential mineral.

Getting your sodium levels up can be as simple as drinking some pickle juice or adding salt to your water. If you have salt cravings, satisfy them; your body is signaling what it needs.

And if you don’t already have a favorite salt, I recommend Oryx Desert Salt (@oryxdesertsalt). This clean, mineral-rich salt is sustainably harvested from the Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa, and delivers on both flavor and nutrients.

A woman who knows exactly who she is and isn’t interested in making herself smaller to make anyone else comfortable. 🔥

I spent enough years of my life worrying about what other people thought.
How I looked, what I wore, whether I was too much or not enough.

And here’s what I’ve discovered. The older I get, the less interested I am in asking for permission to be myself.🎤

I still want to feel beautiful. I still want to feel sexy. I still want to turn a few heads. 😂 And why shouldn’t I?

I’m 56, not finished.💥

If that’s dangerous, consider yourself warned. 😎🔥

And I hope every woman reading this knows that she has every right to take up space, feel beautiful, be sexy, and enjoy every bit of her life. We have so much living left to do, ladies! 🔥

⁉️Do women get more confident with age? 🔥

spiced hot chocolate ☕️🍫

This is EXACTLY what I’m craving during my period.. it’s rich, chocolatey, warming & with a little goodness in there too.

Made with cacao, cinnamon and turmeric, it contains plant compounds with anti-inflammatory properties. Now, I’m *not* saying this will cure your period symptoms but whether it’s the ingredients or simply taking five minutes to slow down with a warm mug in my hands, it always makes me feel a little bit better 🤏

you will need :

Ingredients (serves 1)
300ml milk of choice
1 tbsp cacao powder
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp turmeric
Pinch of black pepper
1 tbsp maple syrup, honey or agave
1/2-1 square 85–90% dark chocolate (optional but recommended!)

Method ⬇️
Add everything to a small saucepan and whisk over medium heat for 4–5 minutes until warm, smooth and creamy. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy.
