I’ve always been drawn to the raw unfiltered edges of life, and I’ve never fit in anywhere neatly. I’ve found growth and truth in the more unlikely places and the most important lessons have been learned from walking down twisty paths into the dark. I’ve noticed that the neat little packages of truth handed to me by my parents, teachers or spiritual leaders are often empty and too simplistic to carry real meaning. I’ve learned that peace comes not from having an answer ready for every unknown, but from resting in the uncertainty of life like a leaf in a river and from embracing the absurdity that is all around me.
