Incredible day!
Only wench brigade to ever 3peat in the history of the Mummer’s Parade. How unreal is that? Lol winners win, what can ya do? lol
Thank you to the neighborhood for always taking care of their own & honoring my Father today. My Father never missed a parade in my entire life; that’s no bullshit. He absolutelty loved the New Year’s Day Parade. Some times he would get dressed up the night before, make-up and all, ready for the morning haha he was a classic! In 2003 he had the wench suit on from 1996, and everyone knew who it was, you could spot em from a mile away on Broad St! I miss my Father, and today was a good reminder of how important it is to preserve these hereditary pastimes. This is a thing that only happens in our area: South Philadelphia. No other place on earth has this!
