HU Staff: Ariela Anís @ari.anis PRAYERS: Singer Amanda Perez is reminding fans to put their health first as she reveals she’s been recovering in the hospital after suffering multiple strokes. On Friday (October 16), the “Angel” singer took to her Instagram to update fans about her hospitalization and subsequent cancelled shows. ___________________________________________________ Wile sitting in a hospital bed, she said, “Hello everyone, I’m making this video not only for my fans for this weekend. I had shows coming up Denver, Colorado, Orlando, Florida, but just to bring awareness for the past few weeks I’ve been sick and anybody that knows me knows that I’m such a strong person and that I kind of fight through everything no matter what. But this time I can’t. I’m in the hospital because I’ve had a few strokes. My family has a history of heart problems. My father died of a stroke. His sister died of heart problems. His father passed away from heart problems very young.” ___________________________________________________ Perez continued, “I want people to know that you need to get checked no matter what age you are. I’m going to work on getting better. I want you guys all to know that I love you and I would never never just cancel a show because out of all the years that I’ve done this I’ve never done that....My wife will keep everybody updated. I just wanted to let you guys know that I’m grateful for all you fans and I love you very much.” Perez’s wife, Stephanee Cabrera Perez, also posted to her own Instagram account. On her page, she reposted the singer’s video. She also shared a video of her laying with and consoling the singer in the hospital bed. She continued to share videos of the two while adding emojis. Rapper Baby Bash also spoke out to share prayers for Perez. ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bio for full story 📸 Instagram
