What a journey…
After 7 years, I can finally say: I am a Permanent Resident of Australia 🇦🇺

Only those who have walked this path truly understand what it means, as an immigrant, to achieve this.

From my very first week in this country, I knew this was where I wanted to stay and build my life and I did. I studied, I stayed focused, and I made it happen.

I left Brazil I was just 23 years old, and reaching the life I’m living today was my biggest goal. There were hard days, days when I cried, but giving up was never an option. Going back was never on the cards.

Australia has been my home since 2018, and today more than ever, I know I belong here.

I am so proud of the 23-year-old Georgia, so brave, leaving everything behind and building everything from zero. I had to restart a few times (I became the Barbie of professions 😂), but I worked incredibly hard, never said no to work, learned so much, and grew even more. I always gave my best and that was recognized.

Again, I’m just so proud of this achievement. Thank you to my younger self for being so dedicated and for never giving up. 🇦🇺♥️
