After several days of soaking in this accomplishment, I’ve finally had the time to reflect on this year. This year has been filled with a whirlwind of emotions and major life experiences.
After thanking God, I want to thank myself! For believing in me! Doing things outside of the ‘norm’ and pushing myself. During the making of the project, I had my own personal issues going on. So to still show up and give this 110% I’m proud of ME!
Seeing how some Journalists wait years for their first Emmy through multiple years of nominations and countless stories. To have gotten mine on my FIRST submission and my FIRST nomination, I genuinely thank god! It’s a great reward considering all the work that was put into it. I don’t take this for granted and I’m so grateful for this prestige honor!

My friend you truly are deserving of this award !❤️ the way that you show up for others and yourself needs to be recognized for all to see. This is only the first in your journey hopefully you will bean EGOT lol❤️
