Join baby Moon on a morning bimble around the stockades! Her mum, ex-orphan Melia, is at her leisure out of frame, secure in the knowledge that her daughter is safe to explore here. Moon, for her part, has a marvellous time to-ing and fro-ing. (Bonus points if you see the furtive back-kick she volleys — someone was not in a mood to babysit!) — This is a special scene — and one that unfolds almost daily at Ithumba. At dawn, wild elephants and ex-orphans (like Melia) report to the stockades to join our dependent herd for fresh water we provide. This section of Tsavo can be a challenging place to live during the dry season, but wild elephants know we are a trusted source of support. 🪾⚔️𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 • 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖⚔️🪾 Anathema (The Eating Woods #1) — Keri Lake { spoiler free } this book was an experience, & I’m so glad I can go straight into Eldritch now because that ending was a total shock to my senses lol. I’m not usually a super gothic reader, but this book was literally everything I thought it would be & so much more. I hated having to put it down! I absolutely LOVE Zevander & Maevyth! they’re absolutely perfect together & I cannot wait for more of their tension & chemistry! this is a super slow burn, but I swear it’s worth it because the yearning… the tension… that chemistry they have is EVERYTHING. my heart breaks for both of them & what they’ve had to endure in the past, & I fear we’ve only just scratched the surface of Zevander’s trauma especially. this was a super unique & intriguing plot, too! I literally cannot wait to see where this goes, what other shocking revelations are in store for us! diving straight into Eldritch now!😍 🪾 gothic fantasy romance 🪾 forced proximity 🪾 hidden identity 🪾 found family 🪾 religious & political oppression 🪾 past traumas 🪾 complex magic 🪾 touch her & die 🪾 morally grey 🪾 duet pov 5⭐️ 2🌶️ ** i’m already 150 pages into Vasmora as I post this, lol. LOVED Eldritch too! can’t wait to see where it goes bc the end of Eldritch was heart wrenching😭 💬 𝐐𝐎𝐓𝐃: if you could shapeshift into any animal, what animal would you choose?
