One student just asked the question that could have saved half the Marvel Universe. If Thanos was so worried about overpopulation, why didn't he simply use the Infinity Gauntlet to create more food instead of eliminating half of all life? In Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026), this unexpectedly brilliant question turns an ordinary classroom discussion into one of the funniest and most realistic moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And the best part? It's being asked in front of Bruce Banner, portrayed by Mark Ruffalo, someone who personally experienced the consequences of Thanos' decisions. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Spider-Man: Brand New Day brings a refreshing touch of everyday logic into a universe filled with superheroes, cosmic threats, and reality-altering powers. What makes this scene so iconic isn't just the humor. It's how effortlessly one simple question challenges the entire reasoning behind one of Marvel's biggest villains. Thanos, portrayed by Josh Brolin, believed that eliminating half the population would solve the universe's resource problems. But when you possess six Infinity Stones capable of manipulating reality itself, wouldn't creating more resources have been a better solution? It's the kind of question Marvel fans have debated for years, and hearing it asked so casually makes the moment even more hilarious. Sometimes the most powerful weapon in a superhero movie isn't an Infinity Stone. It's common sense. Save this brilliant Marvel moment or share it with that one friend who always finds the biggest plot holes in superhero movies.
