يه دوستى ٣٥ ساله
كه با يه سلام ساده
در شهرك غرب تهران شروع شد

در سفر اخيرم به تورونتو
ديدار دوباره اى داشتيم
و به ياد همه خاطرات خوب گذشته
گفتيم، خنديديم و لذت برديم

Friendship with Saman
feels like a deep endless laugh
that never ends

A friendship of 35 years
began with a simple ‘hello’
in Shahrak-e Gharb-e Tehran

On my last trip to #Toronto
we met again
remembering the good old days
laughing, talking, and enjoying

Here the images
are lasting echoes
of that gentle bright day

P.S. For those who don’t know Saman, beyond being one of my best friends, he is a celebrated chef in Iran and a quiet pioneer.
At a time when cooking on television was largely seen as a woman’s domain, he stepped forward as the first male chef to host a cooking show on Iranian TV, unexpected, yet quietly brave.
What he did then gently shifted the landscape, opening space and possibility for many others to follow.
