Sometimes, when working up a first draft, it doesn’t hit the way you want to. Maybe the style just isn’t there — or it feels too… stagnant. And guess what? THATS OKAY.

Complacency has no business in art. Do it until it’s done right, or until you’re MORE satisfied with it, than dissatisfied.

This could mean pulling your hair out, starting entirely over from scratch, or walking away for a while to clear your head. Just remember, It’s not a race. It’s art. Treat it with care.
