I’m genuinely starting to lose interest in watches made by the big conglomerates. This year I’ve really changed the way I look at the watch industry. I find myself getting more and more interested in independent watchmakers. People who put their heart, soul and sometimes everything they own into creating something special. I’d much rather spend my money supporting someone who has dedicated their entire life to watchmaking than buying another version of the same watch with a different dial. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the big brands, but there’s something incredibly special about supporting the people who are actually trying to push this industry forward rather than just selling us the same story over and over again.
