Every day someone asks me, “Is today the day?” 🥹 Which would probably drive me crazy coming from anyone else, but coming from the kids, I love it. They’re counting down, watching my belly, and wondering when we’ll finally get to meet this little person. Boone has even started kissing my belly every day and telling the baby he’s ready. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of that. We only have a few weeks left to go. Is it too early to guess what date in November Baby Nine comes?? 🤩 #familygoals #baby #duedate #howmany #countdown
DIY date Pro Max 😍 will add lights to it next :)
Of all God’s creatures, great and small, this little sweetheart may be the most adorable of all!🦉😍 Meet Sal (short for Sally!), the sweetest Little Owl who is officially the cutest creature that ever was. My heart will never recover from the melt .. SCRATCHING BEHIND HER EARS Y’ALL?!🥹 Thank you to the wonderful Tom Byrne, founder of @nationalbirdofpreycentre for introducing us to Sal and magnificent Maude, the Harris’s hawk! (Plus the Peregrine Falcon & Barn Owl & more!) His lifelong passion and dedication to these extraordinary birds is truly inspiring. And as to be expected on the magical grounds of @kilkeacastle , a touch of extra special: the Little Owl is the Irish cousin of my mom’s favorite owl to photograph, the Burrowing Owl! She was there too💙🪽
So the time has come… let’s talk about the tacos that sent me home 😭🌮 Y’all know I flew out to California to compete on Food Network’s 100 Cooks. I competed with the best of the best and even won best dish in my bracket. But THIS dish earned me a six-hour flight back to Maryland right after that massive snowstorm! 😂❄️ All jokes aside, getting to showcase my skills on national television and rock apron #1 out of 100 was a blessing. The experience taught me patience, introduced me to some incredible people, and gave me the chance to learn about different backgrounds and cultures through the dishes we made. When I got eliminated, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. Going from shooting cooking videos in my backyard to competing on Food Network was a dream come true. I’ve had people doubt me and question what I could do, but this opportunity reminded me why I kept going. Being able to show my students that you can chase your dreams while still showing up for others is what really got me emotional. I wanted them to see what can happen when you believe in yourself and put in the work. ❤️ If you want to watch, check it out on Prime Video or HBO Max! Episodes 6 and 7 are my main ones, but you’ll also catch me in the first two minutes of Episode 1 😎 Enjoy! BUT outside of all that… these surf and turf tacos STILL hit the spot!!! Would y’all crush these or send me packing too?! 😭😭🌮
