An Ethiopian woman identified as Kadama is trending online after an alleged dramatic love story involving her former employer’s husband. According to the viral account, Kadama had reportedly been working as a maid in Saudi Arabia, where she allegedly faced mistreatment from her female employer before disappearing without informing anyone. The woman reportedly suspected that Kadama had run away and called her husband, only for him to allegedly reveal that he was in Ethiopia with the maid, whom he had married as his second wife. He was reportedly on their honeymoon, leaving his first wife in shock. The story has sparked reactions online, with many East Africans, especially those familiar with the struggles of working as domestic workers in Saudi Arabia, celebrating Kadama’s alleged unexpected turn of events. #Ethiopia JOIN BNN BASIC https://t.me/bnnkenya/97444
Alan Cleland Jr is not a nice guy. He has a history of abuse and is at the centre of allegations involving the gang-rape of a 16-year-old girl. She was attacked during a party following the final day of the Outerknown Tahiti Pro last month. As news of his attack on the youngster came to light, his former partner published a compelling treatise of the abuse he subjected her to. Surfer Noah Lia Klapp has published an account of what she endured during her relationship with him. He would abuse her physically and sexually, call her names, demean her and prevent her from leaving. You can read the full account on her Instagram page - @noahklapp - or in the following slides. Coming back to the attack on the Australian girl. I have been told Cleland assaulted her while she was heavily intoxicated and in no state to consent. When he ended the attack, he left her alone and vulnerable. Three men - one a famous surfing photographer - are alleged to have attacked her. I will name the photographer soon. A number of women connected to the World Surf League have told me they endured similar abuses at the hands of top-ranking surfers. They were left out in the cold by the league and their attackers are still feted by fans, sponsors and their peers. Cleland has been suspended from all competition. There's been no indication of charges related to the assault on the 16-year-old or charges stemming from Cleland's domestic violence attacks. ❤️SUPPORT MY WORK❤️ You can support The RED HEART Movement and Australian Femicide Watch by grabbing a RED HEART t-shirt or making a donation! 100% of money raised funds support for bereaved families and an apartment for women leaving domestic violence.
