Unfelt is a simple recollection of a dream, focused on sensation—specifically, one of the most unpleasant feelings I’ve ever experienced, even though it never actually happened. That contradiction is what I find so interesting.
In the dream, I had the clear sensation of having both sand and melting ice in my mouth. It’s something I’ve never felt in real life, yet it came with an uncanny sense of familiarity, as if my body already understood it. The strange gap between not knowing a feeling and somehow knowing it very well is what stayed with me.
The project is also a small creative experiment. Parts of the film move into 2D animation, which is not something I’ve seriously tried before.
