So it means: rebuilt and repainted rack, powder coated subframe and brackets and also powder coated the grannysspeedshop LS Swap cradle!🥳

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday (October 15) inaugurated Northeast India’s first Visa Application Centre in Guwahati's Khanapara, bringing international visa application services closer to residents of Assam and other Northeastern states.

Established by VFS Global, the centre is aimed at simplifying the visa application process and reducing the need for applicants to travel to major cities outside the region to access these services.

The facility will initially facilitate visa applications for 14 countries, including Austria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Italy, Latvia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Egypt, Ireland, Japan, United Kingdom, Malta and Morocco.

The centre will also facilitate visa applications for Schengen nations.

The centre is expected to benefit students planning to study abroad, tourists, business travellers and professionals by making visa application services more accessible within the Northeast.

The inauguration marks a significant step in strengthening Guwahati’s role as a regional hub for international travel-related services. However, visa approval decisions will continue to rest with the respective countries’ authorised authorities.

Tourism Minister Ajanta Neog, Transport Minister Charan Boro, Guwahati MP Bijuli Kalita Meddhi, Central Guwahati MLA Vijay Gupta and VFS Global’s chief executive officer for South Asia Yusmi Talwar attended the inauguration.

Representatives of the diplomatic missions of Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Italy and France were also present.
