As a nurse trained in Western medicine, I respect diagnostics and prescriptions when theyโre truly needed. But through education, experience, and motherhood, Iโve also learned the power of nutrition and prevention, especially when it comes to eye health.
As a mom of five, I think long-term: vision, brain health, immunity, vitality. What we eat directly affects circulation, oxygen delivery, and retinal health.
After giving birth to my fifth child, I experienced a sudden myopia shift and was prescribed glasses. Pregnancy-related hormonal changes temporarily affected my vision; unsettling, but also enlightening. Many donโt realize these changes often resolve as hormones normalize postpartum.
This only deepened my conviction: food is not just fuel, itโs information. Supporting eye health through nutrition isnโt alternative, itโs foundational.
I believe in balance.
I believe in wisdom.
And I believe caring for our bodies is stewardship. ๐ค
