Neighbors, the case surrounding Jada West’s death has been closed without charges.

The 12-year-old Georgia student was involved in a fight with another student at a bus stop back in March. Jada was hospitalized after the incident and died three days later.

According to District Attorney Dalia Racine, an autopsy revealed that Jada had an underlying genetic heart condition that led to her death. Investigators looked into allegations that the other student had bullied Jada but found no evidence of previous interactions. They also could not determine who started the fight.

Racine said, “While the stress of the verbal argument or the physical fight could have contributed to this condition, there is no way to make a definitive medical determination that this incident led to the condition that ultimately caused Jada’s death.”

Meanwhile, Jada’s family says they’re “incredibly disappointed” by the decision, arguing that the fight worsened her condition. Thoughts? 🤔
