Hello fellow vinyl lovers and international shoppers—just a heads-up for anyone ordering records from overseas. I recently purchased the new Agnes vinyl from Bengans in Sweden and paid €34 for shipping to the U.S. Despite vinyl records being exempt from tariffs as information materials, DHL still charged additional import fees and customs processing charges.

Between the high shipping cost, unexpected fees, and very poor customer service, I strongly recommend avoiding DHL for international vinyl shipments. If your package is returned to the sender, you will be charged again to have it returned to sender.

If possible, consider alternative shipping options like your local postal service, UPS, or other carriers. I’m sharing this so U.S. buyers can avoid surprise fees—no one likes paying extra after the fact. Spread the word to your friends and the shops you use to let them know to avoid DHL and offer other shipping options!
