Cut Down. Dig. Wash. Divide. Repeat. 💐 A big fall job here on the farm as we prep for our annual tuber sale at the start of each year! FAQ I get: •I sanitize between plants and use Virkon S currently. The soak time is 10 minutes to ensure complete sanitation and we get around that by having about 2 dozen snips soaking when we’re dividing for long stretches. •You don’t have to cut down and then wait to dig unless you want to. I do it both ways every year: some get dug and divided right away, but many also get cut down and then dug a couple weeks later. I’ve never found a difference in tuber quality or storage between the two methods. •Dry time after your tubers are divided is dependent on your climate. I’ve seen some ‘rules’ that say is MUST be several days, no exceptions. And I’ll tell you right now, a lot of tubers have gotten ruined because people follow that. The goal is to have tubers that are dry to the touch, and that’s it. If you wait too long, they’ll shrivel and dehydrate (you’ll know this happened because they’ll get soft). How long? It depends on your weather and temperatures frankly. On a sunny day, mine take 5-6 hours. In later November when it’s cold and wet, they take a couple days. Follow along for more flower tips! I have a bunch coming as I process the summer and fall flowers and start planting for spring! 💐 . . . . . . #dahlias #flowers #urbanfarming #flowerfarm
🚨🎙️| Vitinha on Lamine Yamal: “Fear of facing Lamine? I wouldn’t say fear. He’s a great player, one of the best in the world. What he’s doing is incredible. He’s special, but tomorrow we’ll be facing a great team, not just Lamine.” 🎙️| Vitinha: “We’ll see what the best tactical approach is to deal with Barcelona’s midfield. It’s an exceptional midfield, absolutely incredible. I really like them, the way they play and the way they want to play.” 🎙️| Vitinha: "Barça are a great team with top-class players across every position. We know how difficult this match will be, but we are prepared to control the game and execute our plan." 🎙️| Vitinha: “Do not doubt Ousmane Dembélé. He’s been the leader of this team for years. He's always stepped up in matches like this. What he brings us in big games is unique”.
