David Bond and myself plan to finally get this film produced this year with Spencer Wildin, the Wolfman and the Wolfman with Anthony Hopkins to be our werewolf. I'm working with the legs of Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Bacon's family. We shall see it takes time but it's worth it it's gonna be a brilliant filmwhich Bruce Davison would like to be in said best script since Willard.

This is my amazing and utterly inspiring friend @davidsmithmbe.💙

We met years ago when I was hosting the National Lottery Draws and one Wednesday night, he came on the show as a guest to start the Dream Number draw. He was part of the Team GB Paralympic rowing squad and we were on the countdown to London 2012. He went on to win gold. 🥇🙌🏻

David’s life has changed so much since then…

He is now paralysed from the neck down and has spent most of the year in hospital. In February, David was told he had four months to live…. We are now at the end of October. Honestly, you will never meet more of a fighter. 💙

On one of the occasions I was visiting him in hospital, he was able to ‘walk’ with this incredible machine. It was a very special moment and he let me film it.

I can’t begin to imagine the frustration and heartache of not being able to ski, to cycle, to walk, to row, to simply move, whenever you want, without questioning how. Yet still, David’s passion for life is very evident.

He has a philosophy, ‘Be where your feet are’. It’s a reminder to enjoy the life you are in, to savour, appreciate and be grateful for where you are, and do things that light a fire in your heart.

Keep fighting Dave! We’re all with you. 😍
