(فقط دست پشت کمر گذاشتن و اون بغل کردن آخرش) داوی، پسربچه‌ای سه‌ساله از ایالت گوییاس برزیل، برای تولدش چیزی متفاوت می‌خواست؛ نه اسباب‌بازی‌های گران‌قیمت، نه یک جشن بزرگ… فقط یک صبحانه ساده در کنار کسانی که از نظر او قهرمان بودند.

او ماه‌ها با ذوق منتظر عبور ماشین زباله می‌ماند و رفتگرانی را که هر روز محله را تمیز می‌کردند تحسین می‌کرد. برای همین از خانواده‌اش خواست جشن تولدش را با آن‌ها تقسیم کند.

مادرش، رافائلا میراندا، یک میز کوچک در پیاده‌رو آماده کرد؛ پر از آبمیوه، قهوه، میوه، شیرینی و کیکی که طرح ماشین زباله داشت.

وقتی ماشین حمل زباله رسید، کارگران با صحنه‌ای روبه‌رو شدند که انتظارش را نداشتند؛ کودکی کوچک که به جای گرفتن هدیه، می‌خواست از آن‌ها تشکر کند.

همین حرکت ساده، لبخند و حس ارزشمندی بزرگی به کسانی داد که هر روز بی‌صدا برای پاکیزگی شهر تلاش می‌کنند.

داستان داوی در شبکه‌های اجتماعی منتشر شد و یادآوری کرد که مهربانی و قدردانی، سن و سال نمی‌شناسد؛ گاهی یک قلب کوچک می‌تواند بزرگ‌ترین درس انسانیت را به ما بدهد.
