For My Momma,
You are the reason I know my worth. You showed me what unshakable strength looks like. You taught me how to stand tall even when the world tried to make me feel small. You never let a single day go by without reminding me how beautiful, smart, and hardworking I am. Because of you, I walk through life knowing who I am. Because of you, I believe in myself. You were - and always will be - my home.
My favorite compliment will forever be when someone tells me I’m just like you. There is no higher honor than that. To be like you is to love deeply, to show grace freely, and to lead with kindness in everything you do. If I become even a small reflection of the woman you were, I know I’ll be doing something right.
I can only hope to be half the kind of mom you were. The kind who always showed up. You never hesitated. You were always there. Loving us came as naturally to you as breathing.
You never cared for material things. You didn’t measure life by what you owned, but by what you felt. A homemade card, a baked good, something made with love - those were your treasures. You taught us that the most valuable things in life can’t be bought, only shared.
You showed us what it truly means to be rich. Not rich in money, but rich in love. Rich in laughter. Rich in memories. Rich in finding joy in the smallest, simplest moments - the ones most people rush past without noticing.
Time was what you valued most. You stayed late after my games, talking to every teammate like they were your own. You always asked for a few more minutes on the beach, soaking in the sound of the waves and the feeling of togetherness. You were my favorite watch partner, the one who always smiled and said, “let's just watch one more episode,” knowing those quiet moments together meant everything.
Until the day we meet again, I'll keep living the life you taught me to live - full of love, patience, and appreciation for the little things. Save me a seat in Heaven, Mom. One day, we'll be sipping margaritas, catching up on everything we've missed, and laughing like no time has passed at all.
I love you forever, Momma - my angel for life 🤍🧸
