no matter how low life gets, somehow, I always find my way back to himanshika🥹🤍 watching you both brings me a kind of comfort i can never really put into words. You both make my bad days feel a little lighter, my mind a little quieter, and my heart a little happier. It's crazy how just seeing both of you; can make me feel better without even knowing.
Maybe that's what healing feels like — finding a little piece of happiness in people who don't even know how much they mean to you!
LOVE YOU SOO MUCH HIMANSHIKA!🥹❤️🧿
my forever comfort peeps <3

Celebrating Arleen Sorkin (October 14, 1955 - August 24, 2023) - The Inspiration for Harley Quinn:

Actress Arleen Sorkin became a regular on the ‘Days of our Lives’ soap opera in 1984 as Calliope Jones whose quirky personality already closely resembled Harley Quinn. For a 1987 episode, Sorkin suggested to the producers to do a fairy tale sequence (inspired by “The Princess Bride”), resulting in Arleen as a court jester on roller skates entertaining a royal family.

Arleen Sorkin and ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ developer Paul Dini were college friends and Sorkin gave Dini a VHS featuring her favorite moments from the soap opera, including her jester bit. As he was working on creating a character to go alongside the Joker in #BTAS, Dini was trying to figure out the persona: “I thought, maybe there should be a girl there,” he said. “And I thought, should the girl be like a tough street thug? Or like a hench-person or something? And then suddenly the idea of someone funny kind of struck me.” This resulted in Dini watching the tape from the hilarious Sorkin and seeing the jester dream sequence. The makeup and costume to Arleen’s already over the top character inspired Dini to sketch an idea for her look, bringing the sketch to ‘Batman: TAS’ head artist, Bruce Timm.

Paul Dini and Bruce Timm ultimately created the new character Batman universe character Harley Quinn, voiced by Arleen Sorkin, who debuted on September 11, 1992 in the episode “Joker’s Favor”, becoming an overnight sensation and fan favorite character in the DC Universe over the last three decades.♦️📺
