nyc marathon 2026 🗽14th place in 2:29:52 ever since mid july when i found out i got in to the elite field at my first world major, i’ve showed up to practice with excitement to show up as fit as i could possibly be because i never want to take an opportunity like this for granted. i wanted to be competitive and man did the stars align. coming in to this race i had the best marathon build i could have, and i felt calm and confident that whatever happened out there i would be able to handle it. when the gun (or canon?) went off i had so much adrenaline running through my body it was an out of body experience. many people have told me it’s advantageous to only be half awake the first half of the marathon, but i just couldn’t help but feel how iconic this race was, and how growing up i didn’t see many latina runners taking up space in fields like this. i somehow girl bossed my way here alongside other pros, olympians, & world medalists. it was hard to remain relaxed but i just soaked it in as we came off the verrazano and onto brooklyn. brooklyn was beautiful. hearing everyone’s cheers, sometimes so loud that it was almost deafening. the sun beaming on the city, and the pack of amazing women in front of me who looked so controlled as i just tried to repeat to myself “i belong”. i made it to mile 10 with the front pack. shortly after we picked up the pace. came through half in 1:14:01 and i found myself forming a chase pack with a few other women. there was something inspiring about all of us representing different countries, packing up and making it a team effort to tackle what was about to come. the queensboro bridge. my coach said this was my wake up call. at this point everything was a warmup for the race that’s about to begin.

Follow @THEMARCORUBIO if you stand with Polish Patriots!🇵🇱 He landed on Friday evening, met the suspended chief justice and the Supreme Court’s first president at the presidential palace, and then did what the prime minister’s police were deployed to prevent. Karol Nawrocki walked to his own constitutional court, pushed through the crowds and the police barriers, and went inside, with the court’s first president beside him. The footage shows him shoving past the officers guarding the entrance. There has been no statement from him since he entered. The building did the talking. Outside, thousands stood with him. They chanted against Tusk, they called for the military, invoking the president’s role as commander in chief, and they prayed with rosaries in their hands while the riot police held the gates. The prime minister’s operation was supposed to be clean and quiet: a suspension order, a new interim president on a website, a court that woke up compliant. Instead it produced the image Tusk feared most, the elected president of the republic forcing his way into the institution his government had just seized, while the people cheered him through the barricades. That is the difference between a seizure and a country. A seizure works when the room stays empty and the paperwork holds. It fails when the president comes home, walks through the police line, and stands in the building that belongs to the republic. Tusk took credit for decisive action on Friday night. By Saturday morning the decisive action had a president standing inside the court, a crowd outside it, and a government with no answer for either. Poland did not fall in one night. It stood up in one night, and the man at the center of it is the one ten million Poles elected.
