I have used many of those responses. Sad to say, it is my dtr. She deflects. Because of her attitude and how she treats me, her siblings have no relationship with her. She denies everything she has said or done. My kids say to stand up to her, but I tell her the responses that are mentioned here, but she doesn't stop. Sometimes I have to leave my own home and or lock myself in my room. My only consolation is that there have been witnesses besides her own siblings

My avoidant husband loves disrespecting all of these because it helps him avoid any conflict or responsibility. It's a dream come true for him for me to tell him if he doesn't lower his voice, I won't talk to him anymore and I will leave the room. That's what he's raising his voice for in the first place, to shut me down. Big sigh
